    thats nothing new i live in europe and one day a few years ago i opened google maps to see something and i was logged into my parents gmail account and bc i was alone in the house for about 7-14 days i saw my parents took a plane ticket to Shanghai and other far as fuck countries google literally tracked down my dads phone so i asked my dad why the fuck were u in Shanghai and he looked at me surprised and confused like "how did i know that" but didnt want to answer me

    i think my dad works for the government as a spy agent or something, thanks google

    @SukMikeHok @Stuxnet what frustrates me the most is not that the broader audience falls for it but that so many developers hail Google or at least it's development infrastructure. Of course they deliver high quality products, of course they provide super nice APIs, of course they have a very convenient environment, of course they actively develop their own programming languages, BUT WHERE DO YOU THINK THAT COMES FROM? Why do so many devs get seduced by that? It also makes me kinda sad to be honest...

    Although there's no rom without Google services available for my phone, this is the exact reason why I'm blocking network access (root firewall) for any Google app/service on my phone.

    If this affects users in Europe (it does, I guess) it's clearly against the GDPR because "Web & App Activity" is misleading, especially because there's a point "location history".
