Yeah and? That means its of that level and if you havent finished that education but still think you can do it you can still apply.
I also got a university level job which had university requirements but havent even done university. -
@Codex404 although i agree with elon musk, why put a contradictory requirement in your own company?
-
@SukMikeHok its not a hard requirement though, if you can show you have enough knowledge they will accept you. Requirements are there to be broken.

CatMDV10506yLike most here said, I think some here are missing the point. Job requirements attract upto millions of potential candidates, especially for a famous company like Tesla. And if the job requirement said "lol wtf is a degree", imagine the tonne of bullshit CVs they have to go through to select a good candidate. Literally 100s of thousands. No HR department ain't got time for that. Instead, like some here pointed out, even if you dont have a degree, if you can prove your worth in your application, its all you need.

@jAsE yes, bot not all requirements are requirements...
Minimum Requirements for a game are not the minimum requirements, with lower specs it can still be played be it a bit lower graphics, fps etc. -
@jAsE @omigator but an "requirement" doesn't have to be. Just like jase said before.
-
@Codex404 When it's not a strict requirement but "if you think you can do it" to apply is enough, why don't they write something like "BSc college degree or comparable knowledge"?
I would be very interested in the real recruitement practice at Tesla, whether they throw away applications without a degree or rather really look into the given skills. I fear it's the first one. -
@Benedikt Im not sure, but I know for some jobs you are not legally allowed with the education, no matter what the owner thinks. Think of doctors, rocket scientists etc.
But Im no Tesla hiring expert and dont know their policy -
@Codex404 Yes, for the legally protected professions there are other rules, but I don't think this applies to any job at Tesla except for the lawyers maybe.
They should be free to hire anyone as they wish, every requirements should be company policy.
Elon Musk: you dont need a college degree, you dont even need highscho look, if you have the required knowledge, you can work anywhere
Tesla job requirements: must have at least BSc college degree
