Updated Nvidia drivers, installed latest wine, Vulkan, DXVK (<3) and Overwatch. It now runs on ultra on Ubuntu 16.04 with around the same fps as on high on Windows. Gotta love the Linux community!

Did Valve upstream their recent adaptions (for steamos) to wine?

@finiteAutomaton not that I know of. They're using their own fork of wine. They include DXVK. Which is what you can do manually with 3 simpel steps and what I've done to gain a massive performance boost.

You can download proton (their fork) from their official GitHub page

Nvidia drivers fucked up my X conf, dual screen etc 😂
I chose to stay out of them and use nouveau drivers
But thanks to you, I'll dig deeper on playing on linux

Oh nice that means I can finally ditch my overly complicated qemu / iommu passthrough setup.

@finiteAutomaton yes, they upstream all changes that match wine's community wishes and keep extra stuff in proton fork.

@bittersweet maybe, depending on what you do.

Drm stuff still doesn't work, who would have guessed?

    Got a guide for that?

    @lil-segfault really?
I'm using 2 screens at home and it works just fine for me. I've been using the built in Nvidia drivers for ages but finally changed to latest and works great

@Bwarhness I found one but that was outdated.
    https://linuxconfig.org/improve-you...
Skip until step Nvidia, the follow it and until you get to DXVK. That's outdated.
Lutris has an option for DXVK and tells you to disable another option (it's in their instructions for Overwatch)
Just use manual for DXVK and install it manually from their GitHub.
Currently 7.0 is the latest release and it tells you how to install it with 1 command so you skip that

@Bwarhness I hope that's clear enough. Else I'll make a proper guide for you
