I'm currently in France and after watching my first YouTube video here, I learnt to import lessons: 1. You can't escape from the udemy ads 2. The French seem to pronounce python (as in the language, obviously) like a French word...

    @AleCx04 I'm German and I never heard someone pronounce it like the German word, so I felt it's weird

    C'est piton, putain! ;-)

    Thats french people. They are unable to speak english because they are way to chauvinistic (a word which has its origin in the French Language (or probably latin))

    It didn't occur to you that python was also a French word ?
  • 1
    @deodexed of, but as I already commented it's also a German word, but Germans still pronounce it the English way when talking about the language

    @david-hil well, take it from a French guy, saying python the English way would make you look retarded. (In a French context I mean)

    @Codex404 email is pretty much in every language "email". Not so in french. Courrier électronique or courriel it is in france. Why? Because the Académie française decided so.

    @AleCx04

    People in the US pronounce, "taco," the way it's pronounced in its country of origin.

    @AleCx04

    Well, I can't speak for all of them, but all the Americans I know do.

    Man it takes someone that speaks spanish to know it. It has a certain tone to it. Even l, if i don't pay attention when speaking English and saying the word I will make it sound with the accent.

    Sure, they are saying it correctly, but the accent is there most of the time.

    I'm too lazy to read the other comments, but I'll just say that we fuck up other languages big time. Everything is to be read as if it was French here. "Meecrosoft", "Adowb". A few survive, like C-sharp, Apple and Google, but most of them get butchered up.

    Taco or taco, they're no good without green chile.

    @Root

    Soft corn or flour tortilla

    onions

    cilantro

    buche or lengua or cabeza or pastor

    facemelting hot sauce

    My last Will and Testament, as I will be ready to die after eating this taco, and four others just like it.

    @bahua Where's the green chile?!

    If someone would pronounce python in Dutch I wouldn't think of the language but the animal instead. But luckily the good devs don't do that.

    @achintyakumar for dutch people too :P
    I also pronounce Java as Yava xD
