@tosensei no it's because I'm adhd and i lost my ID card a lot lmao
The cop told me something like this could happen. There's a new directive or whatever on ID card traffic. -
@tosensei genuine question, but i'm experimenting with random tuning on my folk guitar.
Which lead me to the question, you know ukulele have re-entrant tuning? Is there something stopping me from doing that in the guitar? Aka switching the order and have the bass string on the right side?
The only thing I can think of is the little rack on the bottom, the hole is designed for each string. But maybe I can alter it somehow? -
@antigermanist doesn't matter what instrument, my recommendations:
* don't experiment with tunings if you're a novice
* experiment with common tunings if you're advanced
* experiment with uncommon, crazy tunings only if you're an expert. -
@tosensei I mean I wouldn't describe myself as an expert. But I know enough to find all the chords myself in a random tuning and it does sound fucking rad, which is the best measurement, isn't it?
I'm talking more about the physicality of the guitar. If I change string order would it damage it? Guess I'd have to ask a guitar maker -
@antigermanist no, it won't.
change in the total tension might bend the neck a bit more or less, though, so if that's something that affects you, make sure to not overdo it, or adjust the truss rod if you have one. -
@antigermanist if you gain enlightenment / actually wake up btw you'll be a bard. it'll be magnificent. you'd love it
also trees are wack. they talk... guess I'm a shaman now
Apparently I'm now a suspect in a criminal case. I would have commited identity theft between 2007 and 2025.
Except no, I didn't lmao I'd be richer.
