    @EaZyCode yep, a symlink to another place on this universe via a wormhole 😂
  • 2
    @EaZyCode yes. It is used for creating symbolic links to files/folders

    Is this loss?
  • 2
    But what is /a and targ?
  • 3
    @dder some file and some target.. admittedly, a little inconsistent
  • 3
    @simulate sure, but there is no other joke in that?
    I mean, why should just randomly “ln -s” create a wormhole... for me it’s just a sign, which tells me: go, look here.
  • 3
    @dder yeah, thats the entire joke
  • 3
    @simulate I’m a bit dissappointed...
  • 3
    @dder why, ln -s does not really create a wormhole if thats what you expected :D its just an exaggeration. And the symlink effectively acts like the original object, so imo its kinda funny

    1. that is a soft link. Target does not have to exist....
    2. I wonder what would happen for recursive links, or hard links.
  • 3
    @magicMirror that’s funnier...
  • 4
    @simulate no, I was just expecting the arguments also to be funny 🙃
