That’s why I’m trying to force the “complexity vs hours” discussion here.
Complexity just is (even with abstraction).
Hours is a measurement of your skill vs complexity. So who cares how long it takes, just as long as stuff gets done (correctly) and value is added.

This was what my manager said once.
We(me and a colleague) were struggling for 2 days to do something, he came and said, i would have done it in 2 hours... We ended up trying together(with manager included) for 2 weeks..
