I ended up taking over a dev team. I asked a dev why his code wasn’t in the repo, he said he wants to get it right first.
(Internal screaming): Repo isn’t for just done code you spastic zoomer, people need to setup build pipelines and cloud resources based on a new repo existing. You should have at least pushed a the default template project weeks ago like I asked.1 -

What was interesting was 70% of the Data Vault training was something I do already. The other 30% was either a good idea or overkill. However now that it has been adopted by the team, I guess everyone will have to code that way.

I don’t work in medicine or military so no one dies if I use “<“ instead of “>=“ because I wrote the variables in the wrong order. I’m not worried about skills, I’m worried about saying the wrong thing to the wrong person because direct, clear communication is out of style right now.21 -

I’m learning Japanese with Duolingo, so I enabled the keyboards in iOS. However I am not far enough along to know how to type what I need and the layout looks like it’s based on a 10 key phone. So for now I speak “おはよう” and have Siri do the writing.6
