My boss and under-boss apparently think that building an entire CMS from ground (as in, using a framework and building it on that) on your own is a job done in 2 months.

If this is on top of a framework, 2 months is heaps of time, it’s not like you have to build the framework yourself.

@FinlayDaG33k It's tight if you're building everything from scratch, but a framework should do most of it for you.

@C0D4 well.. I should note that this 2 months included teaching my co-workers how to use Git, how to use Docker, helping them with Docker issues cus of their poor workstations (except mine, mine is dope), helping other students at our work (yes, we have students) understand the basics of programming, helping the SysOps in recovery of the network (one of our servers gave his last I/O) AND learning more about the framework myself (I only started using it a month of 4 ago myself)...

oh yea, and teaching the people who joined the project (2, of which one does absolutely jackshit and the other doesn't do a whole lot either) how to use the framework as well

Add delays for students: 1 week

So that gives you about 6-7 weeks to implement a front end for a cms that’s prebuilt and deal with semi useless students.

I don’t want to sound like a dick, but I would love to have that kind of time for a project sometimes.

@C0D4 you overestimate my coworkers (which also are the students btw) :p

Network recovery: 2 weeks (and still working on it due to the lack of resources in the company)
seriously, the students aren't very intelligent... which is why they are there in the first place...
why this takes so long? Because they tend to play games more often than they actually study

Within that CMS I also have to build the site for the project (while expanding the CMS with functionality and fixing bugs) they keep complaining about which requires LDAP integration along with roles (which have to be linked to the LDAP, a nice (retard proof) front-end, and a per-user "week planner" (to plan out the entire week for a user).
This all has to be done with 5 work hours a day (implying I never take a break, since our company is only open for 5 hours) 4 days a week (since I never work on wednesday as that is the day I am hired as a teacher elsewhere).
