I'm betting that the update is meant for people who want to save their saved images and stuff elsewhere before it shuts down

@kweakzs If that's true wouldn't be better just to let people download their content from Google+ using their archive downloader they already have.

On a side note you have always been able to save and share photos in the app....I really don't know what they added here.

@bhouston I've never used G+ so that was a wild guess.
