Right now everything is a CMS. And I hate it. It lets people who don't know what they're doing, think they know what they're doing and make a mess for the real developers.

All I can hope for us some huge educational effort so that if you want to use WordPress you can, but know that there are much better options.

Every change has to be approved ahead of time anyway and its literally my job to keep this website running. I don't need you poking around breaking stuff.

I would much rather people will continue to fuck shit up so that those of us with the necessary experience can fix it and charge for it.

I have been able to turn some shitstorms into very interesting projects(money wise) and that is all I care for. Banging your head while you are working on something because you would much rather use X tool over Y is just childish(this is not directed at you btw)

So i would rather people who are not tech savy continue to do their shitstorms.

And yes. I have been working in this shit for years now. But I like money way more than I like Rails or Django or etc etc etc.

I only use OctoberCMS when I neer a CMS nowadays.

I like my static CMS because it's easily the most fucked up way possible to generate a website. It's abusing GCC's preprocessor, some C macro hackery, template files and then a build script including file diff so that I see which files really have changed.
