Years ago I was on a team helping to run a science and tech fair for kids. One of the exhibits was a life size robot on wheels that had conversations with the kids passing by. Very few of the parents had a clue as to what was going on, most were looking in the robot, behind it, etc. and were incredibly confused when they saw nothing that could fit a human...
In actual fact, there was a camera and microphone in the robot and a human operator sat in a back room remotely. Very simple, but very few managed to work it out... -
soulsuke7256yI've actually seen the last one for a demo. The mic for voice input broke at the last minute, so we had a staff member typing what the user was saying. It was hard to keep a straight face.

620hun81886y@AlmondSauce I went to a similar exhibition as a kid, and when I found the operator sitting in room with a headset a whole world had broken inside me. Never fuck with kids.

Why is python below java.. since it's easier to code a chatbot in python.. shouldn't it be above the java block?
