Has anybody here used Solr or Elasticsearch for a big online shop? We’re implementing fact finder and are not happy and are wondering about solr and stuff like that.

I kinda want more emotional input from other devs so I thought I asked here :)

Thanks !

We use elasticsearch at some industry grade customer applications and we are quite happy with it. I am not an expert on the subject, though.

I've implemented Solr in a couple of Drupal websites. It is funny to play with it, as long as you don't have to dig through to configs searching for "mlt" and shit like that.

Why r u happy with factfinder?
If u just need search solr shoukd be fine, although it‘s way more complicated to configure. Ever tried to setup lexical analysis for polish? Arg

@mojo2012 were not - client asked for ff because they are like the biggest search service provider in Germany „so they have to be good“ - it does work as expected but the performance is _very_ poor.

I’ll look into solr and how to configure it and stuff the coming few days. Thanks for the pointers!

@fml89 we are using FF with SAP hybris and performance is totally fine (about 30ms response time for 100 search results per page, about 40k products)
