Aaaah. I ask one fucking question on askubuntu. One dude marks it as duplicate, I explain in multiple comments it has no relation. Still fucking creates an answer with some solution with clearly doesn't work. If he had EYES he could see my configuration is already there and with his one brain cell conclude that it has nothing to do with it for fuck sake.

Yeah, but why are you using ubuntu tho? Have I told you about arch? Also I use arch!

"Rant marked as duplicate. Please choose the right category next time: i.e. rant"

Fuck this kind of guys. Found a solution to your problem by the way? If not, some people here might be able to help.

@theKarlisK yeah, I maybe found a solution for my problem but if it still doesn't work I will post it here :P

@Jifuna You should also post it to the ubuntu forum, and blame the idiot closing it as duplicate for wasting two days of your time instead of taking fifteen freaking seconds to read your fucking post. 😡

Not sure if I can help, but ask ahead 🙂

Also, word has it that it's generally a gamble at how shitty a day the admins had, whether they've had a fight with their wife, etc. Not a good way to administrate a website, but hey, who am I to judge?

Ask Ubuntu definitely is full of the most ignorant fuckwads out there though. A couple of years ago I asked this question "how to boot into an another distribution without actually rebooting" because I saw it being done with Crouton in this (at the time) new cool kid on the block called ChromeOS. Back then it was ridiculed as "do you even realize wtf you're asking, fucking moron" and downvoted into oblivion. Now I know that it's called chroot, and laughed at those Ask Ubuntu fuckers ever since 🤭

@Condor Yeah, had some experience on stack overflow, I hoped only it would be less worse on askubuntu.

Its a very specific problem so I don't think you can help me. I have two applets in my top bar. Appindicator applet and system tray. One way or another they glitch out all the time, few days ago I had 3 slack icons (where only one works). I tried adding a seperator between the widgets but that doesn't help. The glitching only happens in the system tray applet.

@Jifuna In that case, DE as well as screenshots may be helpful (to see how they glitch out). Be sure to also check if there's any log files being created by these applets.

@Jifuna tell me first what glitching did you not encounter with Gnome 3
