Elyz69656ySame story in Denmark. I remember when winters were winters. This year I doubt we'll even see snow. I mean it was 20+ degrees in October..
-
@Elyz Yeah... And now (here at least) it's 0 degrees, which is 4 degrees warmer than yesterday
-
Elyz69656y@ScriptCoded one whole degree here 🙄😅 just warm enough that snow won't arrive. I miss snow, damnit. Been a stupid sweaty summer, I'm ready to freeze my metaphorical balls off.

qvasi286yIf it's really cold I prefer it to also be snowy, cause my warmest shoes are so stiff it hurts my feet if I try to use them on bare asphalt. I need the cushioning of the snow...

p1ERRson666ySthlm had - 10 this morning. Ppl took a day of for skating.
Still saw one dude walking pass my office window in a shirt... (yes, he was pn the outside :p) -
Navigatr9276y@p1ERRson True Scandinavians use their beards to stay warm! :D
@M1sf3t What you said about humidity made me think of when I lived back in Gothenburg for a couple of years. (For the Swedes here; it was during those two bitchass cold winters some years ago.)
It's a harbor city on the west coast, and the last winter I was there, at one point it was -10°C but seriously felt like -25°C. -
Navigatr9276y@SoulSkrix As someone who's grown up in the Stockholm region I could definitely recommend Gothenburg! It's a big city with a small-town feel to it, people are super friendly and approachable, just watch out for trams. :P Also, the dialect is violently contagious. People talk shit about the weather in Gothenburg, and even though living there taught me what true rain is, the weather never really bothered me at all.
It should say something on its own that even though I went through some of the worst shit in my life when I was living there, I still have fond memories of the city itself. You can also walk anywhere just by moving in the general direction of your goal, unlike Stockholm where you need to know where all the damn bridges are...

Swedish winters are weird, I can't remember last time we had snow around Christmas. Today it's white everywhere outside, but I doubt it is because it has fallen snow tonight. It's probably just the frost...
