Scheduled devRant maintenance - I'm going to be upgrading some infrastructure later and there will be some downtime, probably about 15 minutes, around 9pm EDT. Apologies for the inconvenience and devRant disruption :) It will help with working towards an even more stable service in the future.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions!

    ofc we totally understand, we're devs too, not like those effing clients complaining and bitching all the time

    I've got a question!!
    Can we all be given stress balls for those 15 minutes so that we can keep our selves call while we have no place to rant? 👀

    dude pls make a local caching of the Json data so that you don't have to request data every time u open the app and there are some posts if you don't have internet.
    This would be sick also ppl who have very limited data pack won't waste their MBs in downloading same thing

    @rookiepatty it's on my list but unfortunately is a pretty big undertaking in terms of how a lot of things on the app work. It will happen eventually but not sure exactly when yet. Probably needs to wait until we move off Appcelerator.

    @dfox you made Android version using react native right

    @dfox a bit of downtime is no harm at all. Although the next time the server goes on fire, we want pics!

    Keep up the good work :)

    Everything should be good to go now. Please let me know if you notice any issues.

    @rookiepatty we use Titanium for both mobile apps.

    @pixeltherapy thanks!

    @dfox try to go native for both Android and iOS by that way you could use more features of that operating system eg: in IOS you can use force touch to see all the comments on a post rather than opening each post individual and in Android you could something like G+ has done show a glance of each comment for one second. I know going native would be big decision but that would bring smoothness to the app

    @rookiepatty we would if we could but at our size, and the size of any small startup IMO, it's just not feasible. We have two pretty good apps right now I think, trying to spread resources really thin for two completely native apps instead could result in a lot of issues.

    I think an eventual migration to react native gets us pretty close, so we'll continue working on that. If there's any specific features you'd like to see, let us know. While there's a lot Titanium can't do, there's also stuff it can do that we're not taking advantage of.
