When I was active in my own business, I used LinkedIn to find clients.
Now, as a full time salaried employee, LinkedIn is my resource for networking with people in my industry, finding people to work on my open source projects, keeping in touch with my former coworkers (and providing reviews and referring them to new positions when they're out of work), and of course, building on my current proficiencies via LinkedIn Learning.
It's true, I have more connections on LinkedIn than I have friends on Facebook. But it's more than just for finding recruiters.
