When taking so many temp notes of quick thoughts that your text editor has 40 unsaved instances.
Of course, in time I transfer them to my permanent notes.

    I use QOwnNotes. It saves stuff to a little git repo it maintains for each update, so you can brows your history using tig.

    I used to use notepad++ (I do still miss it on linux) which does back the temp notes into files

    @BordedDev I'm also using Notepad++. This particular feature of temp files being saved is kind of neat.

    Most of my long-running personal projects have a SWAP.md where I dump my thoughts before I take a break. I always start writing at the top where my cursor is by default, so it kinda works like a stack.
