What if life was on git? Where you can simply create new branches of it, stash shit, remove dumb people with dependencies and finally the ability to turn back time with this version control.

You can do everything except turning back time. People used to have different "branches" in different cities (or rather ports), some were removed, but other people managed to "blame" for that. Finally, history rewriting is possible too, look at Mitras celebration, it was removed and that christian thingy was rebased onto.
