    Most of us, including me, started with Ubuntu. Nothing to worry about.
    Once you get familiar with it, you are likely to try other desktops and distros.

    Good luck mate!

    Ahh yeah! Let's start another My-Distro-Is-Better-Than-Yours-Thread!
    Yiiieha!

    So we have Debian, Debian-With-Helpers (*buntu) and... That's it?

    Ouh may fagging gawwd!

    I throw in: Gentoo, because binary distros are for N00bs! 😈

    Lol people making fun of ubuntu users, great way to convince people to move to linux (y).

    I have started with ubuntu, used debian for work, using Arch for more time that I can remember, using alpine for work and ubuntu in some company servers from time to time, tested a lot of distros, played with some bsd, started lfs like 3 times.. what I can tell is, use what feels good to you, don't start with a hard distro if you don't have time to deal with it(or don't want) and at some point it will be natural and chosing whatever distro will be only matter of taste.

    I use ubuntu because I am not smart enough to configure grub on my laptop.
    I swear I tried.

    @mngr there are other bootmanagers then grub. I don’t like grub either.

    @Root
    Think he means the whole image has black on top and bottom. Not the inside images.

    @Fabian
    My theory is that when the original screenshot was drawn on, they took a screenshot of that instead of saving it.

    @dder there is some issue with uefi or legacy boot that I don' t understand.
    And I don't use the laptop enough to care that much 😅

    @Drewtato this is exactly what I did :D

    I didnt feel like finding out if the layers of pen i drew on top could be removed by someone on devrant with too much time on their hands so I just took a screenshot of the screenshot
