ajit55518516ySurprised still some juice left in battery after so long being discharged, keyboard still in pristine n I felt so good to type, miss the mouse buttons like these on my new Dell laptop.
-
@ajit555 I actually definitely would
Just because it's old and cool
But have no space for it right now :/ -
ajit55518516ySeemingly old useless computers still have lots of power if right os/apps used on them, just recently converted old Android TV box to Nas drive. Can't figure out anything for my old Xbox 360 though. Nobody providing Linux distro for that :(

ajit55518516y@StefanH True, not much useful for us but nowadays, I tend to revive a unused PC / laptop and tend to make it available for kids / senior people for general use. Many a times, a slight RAM upgrade / SSD or battery replacement is enough to make it usable. Just upgraded mine Dell 9400 for my niece which was lying around unused. Where do you get nowadays a gorgeous 17inches 1980*1200 screen in laptops? Very good for reading especially documents.

@RememberMe I have a commodore 64 for you. Your offer? Too bad I don't have the VIC20, started out on that when I was a little boy.

bjoer751776y@pyaf Lenovo only acquired the PC business of IBM. That was actually a small part of IBM's total business.

@StefanH Computers with 1GB RAM can still be good media centers. You can install Kodi and watch 1080p video on pretty much any potato as long as it has a 100Mb/s connection.
-
@bittersweet I'm pretty sure the laptop in op would struggle even at 720p video.
Oh, and you don't need 100Mbps for 1080 if it's compressed. 20Mbps is pretty good already.
