I'm happy to say that this is true.

Companies have three stakeholders: investors, customers and employees. Investors want to invest in vision and ambition, customers want their problems solved (and ultimately world peace), and employees want a valuable job in their lives.

But many companies think that investors only want revenue and growth, customers want a cheap solution and that employees just want to get paid for a living.

But bosses: who does your job? If you hire a bunch of smart people (like many software developers are) and you enable them to excel, gain skills and take ownership of your business... Then some true solutions will follow, ones that customers are willing to pay extra for. And that shows vision, ambition and might even lead to growth. And growth attracts investors.

There's the circle of life for a business that delivers great and valuable solutions with happy employees, not just barely acceptable solutions.

Somebody tell Activision. Record income and laying off 800 people at the same time. And of course the CEO gets 15 million as a bonus just for showing up.
