I'm just wondering ,after observing all your guys' rants. Is the corporate world that bad? I'll probably be working in the next 2-3 years and I'm hoping I won't have a bad experience

Bad experience is part of the job, I guess. You'll never know if you don't try...

Angry people are louder than satisfied people so you'll see a lot more rants from them. And even when you have a good job that you enjoy, you'll probably still have moments when you want to punch somebody. It's the same for most situations, I think.

When creativity is yoked, there will always be some twisted ankles.

There will always be something that you'll have to do for work that you don't want to do, or with which you don't agree on principle.

However, the corporate world is only as bad as you let it be. Be honest with the people with whom you work, but much more importantly, be honest with yourself. If you do that, without arrogance or derision, you're far less likely to lose yourself in the corporate world.

That's life, man - the funny part of it ended when you were born!

You'll do fine if you know your worth and if you're not afraid to move on if current job starts sucking.

Corporate world is not bad when you find those who share same values as you and value your work. Otherwise it will be a nightmare even in the startups

When it comes to corporate, without the right team dynamics it can be a living hell or a paradise, regardless of the work you end up doing.

Well this is devRANT, not devBRAG. Of course you'll see nothing but complaints.

I worked in a huge corporation before. I was struggling at first, it was very frustrating, but yhen I stsrted noticing patterns, adjusting my expectations and following processes, etc. Life got a lot easier when I realised that I'm just a tiny nut in a gigantic machine :) the sooner you find a way to leverage THAT, the soonet you'll start enjoying corporations as employers :)
