Example: If you studied Java, and make apps for yourself every once in a while. But your job is making websites, focused on PHP and JavaScript. How can you show that you know Java, with the entire vocabulary associated with it? -

Resume question:
I have knowledge of the tools and languages used where I'm applying. But my experience is in a completely different area (still CS though).
Any thoughts how I can let the employer know that I am skilled? Even if my experience doesn't show it.
