Many Linux users are a special breed of opinionated cunts, tbh.
Like take your head out your ass and be helpful or just fuck off. K thanks 🙄 -
lxmcf199506y@Stuxnet hit the nail on the head there, fair chunk of the Linux community are full on when it comes to things that aren't 100% free and open and will condemn anything if it even asks for their name for caching
-
lxmcf199506y@electrineer yepppp, it's only when watching a video or on a heavy JS website but surely 20% on a quad core CPU is just a tad high
-
@lxmcf they're just as bad as those that say "Use Y instead" when you ask about X.
That's not what I asked asshole. I asked about X. Help with X or fuck off.
If you want to bring up Y, suggest it without saying "X is trash, use Y." -
Ugh. The privacy people too. They're always all or nothing when getting a lot of your privacy back isn't that hard without sacrificing the internet itself.
-
Actually, I call bullshit on the hint with the default size. I know literally no one who doesn't maximize their browser on a 1080p screen.
-
@Jilano that's a valid concern if you use something like tor browser and have either a less common display resolution or a less common taskbar size
-
740027566y@Jilano: A while ago there was a link going around (this one: https://panopticlick.eff.org/) for testing how “uncommon” your browser settings are, i. e. how well you can be tracked by your leaked information. I checked and I was the only one in the database with my particular window size, even with a maximised browser window.
*Having issues with chrome using %20 of the CPU on linux, decides to google and see if anyone else is having the same issue*
Hmmm, this looks like it should be useful

Oh look, all 40 replies are people complaining that the poster is using Chrome in the first place and telling them to just move to firefox, vivaldi, opera or any other browser... Thanks guys, real fucking helpful!
