Just ordered my first Alienware laptop.
As much as I want to be excited , I know devices and laptops don’t last that long like they used to years ago

Enjoy it properly while it lasts and you might be surprised
If taken care of stuff lasts pretty decently. I have a a 5 year old HP probook that still runs like a champ and is good enough for light gaming (or AAA with lowspecgamer-style hacks)

The notebooks sold 5 years ago and today have the same difference as phones sold 5 years ago and today,

Break sooner than you expect

got 2 nexoc laptops. one of them needed the graphics card changed after 2 years, but runs smoothly since then. No issues. it's..7 years old now. The other one had slight display issues which got fixed within warranty. the thing fell on the floor once (super hard marble floor), but lived.

Yes. new tech breaks a lot. But it seems that if one really does some research and is willing to not settle for the cheapest, one can find devices that will live many years.

Got a 6 year old Macbook Pro still going strong. Would hope the Alienware could compete 👍
