The worst work culture I've experienced was at a local security company.
There was a reason why over 15 people come and go within 6 months (just 30 people work there):
The boss is a fucking psychopath and should be (mis)treated in a high-security mental health institution.
There has not been one sane day during the 90 days I had to work there.
A friend of mine still has to work there because he can't find anything else in his current situation...

    @toriyuno Are you sure?
    Here is a list:
    (Boss = Ex-Boss)

    - Forced meeting with everyone and boss (random workday in the evening) to discuss shifts for next month, everyone HAS to be present.
Boss sees that 3 people want to take 1 week holidays in the same week. Boss starts to insult them with nasty words. Boss yells at everyone. Boss takes his brand new laptop. Boss smashes it multiple times on the edge of the table, then throws it 5m across the room. Laptop was $3000.-.

    - Same meeting but 1 month later:
Boss gets angry for no reason. Boss takes scissors and throws them in the ceiling. Scissors are now stuck in the ceiling.

    - Boss calls women in the office "whores", "stupid" and they should rather go home and "cook".

    - Coworker is sick at home. Boss forces other coworker to call him and to threaten him that he will get notice if he does not come to the office immediately.

    - Boss breaks his wife's arm for his own anger issues.

    - Calls foreign coworkers a bad slurs.

    - Does not pay overtime nor let you compensate it.

    - Does sometimes pay your wage 2-3 weeks late.

    The list goes on...
I'm still waiting for the moment when this fuckhead dies in agony or his "company" is in ruins.

    Omg how is this legal?
And why hasn't anyone taken any action against it?

I was going to ask the same

@PonySlaystation this almost sounds made up. Like maybe take this guy to court, it's fucking insane

@gitoutofhere I wish it was made up.
The big problem is that this guy used to work for the local police for 20 years and has good connections to the local "high society".
He has already been indicted twice due to sexist behaviour and sexist insults against female employees but both cases were closed by settlement, because the accusers didn't want to have an expensive and life straining process.

I swear, this fucker will get back karma at some point. Be it through the rusty pirchforks of his employees, some accidental cynide poisoning or something similary unexpected.

@gitoutofhere Coincidentally his surname is vaguely similar to Hitler, that's why we (the friend who still works there and I) call him Shitler.

@PonySlaystation jesus, what a fucking villain. He's like the bad guy from roadhouse.

i'm suddenly very grateful of all the bosses I had.

    police are the worst

@toriyuno I wouldn't say that. Our local police does a great job in most cases.
The problem is with individuals who have good connections to important people and feel invincible.
Justice will get him soon. We have enough evidence against him, but the moment is not right to strike.
