I want to create something using Electron, just because I thought it would be fun(web-development background). Anyone else using it? Any tips? I thought it would be a great exercise to dig through the Atom IDE code, as what I want to make needs some similar features, what do you think?

    I've played with electron a bit, seems a nice way to do rapid development for desktop, and means the majority of any code written can be ported into phonegap.

    sounds like a good idea. I made a simple to do list with electron and angular.

    Go ahead. I used electron to build a very simple report viewing app. Works very well.

    Turns out, atom used coffeescript, which I don't know how to use... Shit.

    Done a project in Electron. Do not expect any kind of native user experience. It is kind of cumbersome and slow, but depending on your needs it may be enough.
