I am the old famous kiddy here, who just came back days before school exam starts^^

Just to say, I want to ask you all, is it ethical(?) to release a hacking/cheating creation tool for games for educational™ purposes?

I have been making a cheat creation tool called Mysterium, but I am not sure where to use it. I made cheats for some big title games, and reported them to the developers, patched, and got some in game items in return....

Long story short, is it okay to release to the public, or should i release this product to game developers?

Sincerely,
A kid who made cheats since he can't play games well and wanted to get some free items

Imo it would be safer to do it as you did already, finding bugs for game owners, so you won't get sued for providing cheats to community. However doing it for a ingame item is just waste of time... maybe start company that gamedev ones could hire to find cheats and hacks to be patched?

@CozyPlanes I agree with blem. You could start a real business with this product and make real money with it.

Out if curiosity, how did you start with Mysterium? This is interesting to me, and I might be interested in learning how to find exploits and report them as well.

@-Minty- started with some code floating in the internet, bought some famous cheat tools selling in the dark market in China, and refined them to match with the latest updates with the game,

I am no expert in this, just making same kinds of cheats in many different ways

I really should start a business in this field, but I feel like once I step foor in these hacking and security fields, I don't think I will continue with my future career and my school studies at the same time

Definitely need more thinking and consideration

Just one thing to brag about, which is actually nothing
I wonder if you knew about the flaws of Google bug tracker where you can easily get a Google.com domain without company username, we'll I was working on that when the same thing I was working on was posted by some another engineer whom I suppose got $1000 or so...

    Dammit lol
