Firefox.

I ignored your update for ages.

Because half your dev base are retards circle jerking over a language made by a smug midwit marxist who believes in ceremony over productivity.

And then you go and autoupdate without my permisson. Didn't realize microsoft wasn't the only one that could push things on people like common rapists.

Went and pushed an update when I've EXPLICITLY turned down your update nagware hundreds of times.

And now ad block is disabled.

And I'm being flooded by bullshit.

And the 'patch' you released requires me to update.

Well jumping fucking christ on a pogo stick. Why didnt you just force update the whole god damn application you shit-for-brains firefox devs?

What, you thought I wouldn't fucking notice?

You thought, because microsoft did it, that this shit was cool, in 2019?

Like that bullshit you pulled as a 'tie in' for mr robot?

I would kick you in your fucking nuts if I met you.

Ps: Your fucking patch that you put out doesn't even fucking reenable extensions.

Incompetent dumbasses.

I'm moving to another browser with less 'diversity' in the dev team.

    I'm still using the old Firefox 56 with downthemall extension hehe. I have both the stand alone installer for Mac 😁

    Wait who's the smug midwit Marxist?

    @Stuxnet I guess the language they’re talking about is Rust and Wikipedia says it was designed by Graydon Hoare.

    So maybe him, idk.

    @-vim- scrolling through his Twitter makes me think that's who they're referring to.

    ude Brave Browser until it's resolved?

    @maushax considering IE is still used by many, the "it's popular" argument isn't exactly too handy in this situation, ya know?
  • 1
    @Stuxnet so if I’m understanding correctly, a marxist designed a language in which the main feature is ownership and makes it hard to share it.
  • 2
    @M1sf3t a real change of pace from my shitty memes lol

    From what I heard the extensions broke because a certificate expired not because of a forced update.
    And at least for me it was fixed the same day it broke. But I'm also using nightly so I might have gotten the update earlier.

    Quality rant!
    And ++ for the appropriate marxist hate.

    But the update didn't break extensions; it was an expired cert. Still embarrassinly preventable, though.

    Is there any way to get extensions back? My firefox is up to date but NONE of my extensions are working. I tried disabling certificate.required from config but no luck. I already switched to chrome for adblock but I want my firefox back :(

    @Nanos What @irene said worked actually but I got an update after that. It fixed root cause. Thanks

    @Stuxnet

    It's a jab at Steve, the writer of the rust book, not Graydon.

    If you go look at his work you'll actually see how god damn prolific he is.

    I'm just intimidated by his brain.

    You should have used this comment to talk shit.

    Missed opportunity.

    You're quick!

    @Stuxnet

    I shitpost from IE just for the pleasure derived from the utter depravity of the act.

    @M1sf3t

    I read the infinite loading bug is caused by changing fast traveling too quickly after a previous fast travel?

    @M1sf3t

    I haven't cared about the law or legal contracts since microsoft force-updated me windows 10.

    It's been anarchy ever since. Arson, murder, and clicking through TOS without reading.

    Nightly is like valhalla.

    You may get stabbed through the chest.

    But at least you come back the next night to feast and dine.

    @hack

    All I wanted to do was watch horses fuck midgets.

    Instead I got pops up adds of old men with saggy dicks and trannys with bad tit jobs.

    I'm afraid if I beat my meat while watching, the degenerate shit for ads will show up in the corner of my eye like subliminal messages and burn it's taint into my subconscious.

    Most days I consider that an option.

    Made my day Nanos.

    I was hoping to upset some people.

    I guess I'll have to LARP as a commie.

    @Nanos

    Are we on the same psych medication for paranoia?
  • 1
    @Wisecrack If you LARP convincingly as a commie, you'll have a lot of people agreeing with you and trying to be your friend.

    They're slaves seeking after social approval like dogs after treats.

    And I the master.

    Shit, I already have the smug arrogance down pat! Thanks!

    Thats the bastard!

    I don't like him because he disagrees with me on technical matters and hes right!

    The nerve of some people.

    @M1sf3t

    misaffordances of perspective.

    It's like how if you look at the 3d models by themselves, indoor and outdoor props will be hilariously misproportioned because of how they need to be designed to afford for the differences between 1st and 3rd person perspective.

    Minigames are underrated. Lot of games try to shoe horn all their mechanics into one set of interactions, or even contextual interactions, and in a lot of cases I think thats a mistake. The model Ocarina of Time pioneered is probably better in general. If I'm gonna play with a new mechanic, why *shouldn't* I have new interactions to do it? Theres the learning overhead of that but nothing prompts and context text don't solve anyway.

    Virtual Workspaces in VR make my dick hard.

    Other than that VR is a little on the slow and heavy side for me. Once they get the physical weight of the units down I'm all in.
