Sometimes I get so caught up questioning myself how to *architect* the code, that it takes me forever to do the actual coding.

Anyone else ever do this?

Programmers don't do as much writing as they do thinking and designing. Heck, I still use a pencil and paper sometimes to draw flow charts so I know how to design my programs

Agrees but in reality I should do the architecting bit more

Programming is a very introspective work, you have to mostly think about what you're doing. I personally got the habit of taking notes before coding, because it helps me get all the ideas clear. I think that's the hardest part of the job, the rest is just syntax.
