It is indeed :) With WSL it's the closest you can get to Linux, imo

@ScriptCoded Win 10 Linux subsystem. Can't get any closer than that.

You can install xming and with wsl run any terminal application you want...

@iAmNaN Tried that one. Feels like I’m using a vm to log in to another vm🤦‍♂️ don’t feel native.
ps: I actually installed virtual box to ssh when I was in school😳

I'm using it in place of Git Bash.

@sunfishcc that is your system, not the subsystem, because no VMs are installed, or used. It's pure Linux. The only thing missing is a GUI, but if you have to use a GUI in Linux, then maybe you aren't a tech professional. It's great for scripting and coding CL solutions, or using fur ssh. Hopefully nobody is putting a GUI on a server.
