Haha so true!! I always try and run Ubuntu or Fedora on my desktop PC but configuring something will just break it and will have to reinstall the OS again. I always end up going back to Windows because of this. I've had Fedora running on a server for over a year without issues though.

I'd just like to interject for a moment. What you’re referring to as Linux, is in fact, GNU/Linux, or as I’ve recently taken to calling it, GNU plus Linux. Linux is not an operating system unto itself, but rather another free component of a fully functioning GNU system made useful by the GNU corelibs, shell utilities and vital system components comprising a full OS as defined by POSIX.

I can really recommend buying a supermicro motherboard and build your own server :)

@Linux might sound like a nice idea, but loads of games aren't supported by linux anyway, so i might as well just leave it as the small server it is for now

probably gonna get a raspberry pie as a teamspeak server though, then i can maybe even shut my pc down sometimes

What games are you hosting? Ofcourse you can rum a Windows server in a supermicro bostad, I rum a couple in my proxmox enviroment.
