Would there ever be a day when I would look up some old project's code and won't say "WTF was I thinking!"

    No, because the day that happens is the day you realise you are no longer progressing.

    @JackToolsNet ?
    A dev should always try to better their self and their way of thinking.

    @C0D4 yes that's right.

    But I had this illusion to look one day at a piece of code and think:"Oh cool well done".

    One illusion less.

    @C0D4 I never thought about it this way. But i mean thats really deep and i mean yeah its true if i think about it.

    Maybe it's my old age in this field, justifying why I'm still doing it.

    But I believe you are only as good as your last piece of work or feature, as that should be a resemblance of your current abilities.

    Generally, no.

    But there will always be a few instances in your life when you write a solution so eloquent that any alternative solution would only be a change in style and not efficiency.
