Trying to get feedback after developing website.

Friends: what does Lorem Ipsum mean, I think you have a typo.
Me: don't worry about the text. It will be changed. What do you think of the layout, the colors, is it user friendly?
Friends: okey, but the images. They should not be grey with numbers inside. Try using real photos of nature or something.
Me: don't worry about the content. the text and images are just placeholders. What do you think of the website?
Friends: it's nice.

    Images play a tremendous factor on the whole feel. And shouldnt be replaced by dummy but something relevant. If you agree.

    I've heard it as well. There is a bug the text is in some foreign language.

    A non complaining quiet user, is a happy user! ( as long as he only complained about placeholder txt/img ) you did a great job +1

    I don't think that it is a good idea to demo an app with lorem ipsum. Considering the client will not relate with it you should only use it while you are developing the site and then fill it with content from a similar site when demoing it.

    That way they are able to appreciate your work much better.

    Don't worry it will co.pletely change when your done building it. Some one will comment "when did you show us this layout!? I mean I remember you showed me something whith crapped images with numbers in them but that's not what I wanted"

    Me "Heres a preview, don't worry about the text and images, we will replace it once a design has been approved"

    Client: "I don't like this image and it shouldn't say 'free shipping on orders over $50' but instead $55."

    .............. come on!!
