Lyniven45595yI learnt that we changed president a good week after the election. Guess I don't give a shit.

Well, in my us state we voted a liberal as governer, now hes raising taxes and creating new taxes. So that's one reason it directly effects me.
-
Damn imagine being so bitter you bitch about people having interest in a subject you dislike 🤡
-
b3b343775yI havent been interested in politics until a few months ago. Because that one big party always fucks shit up. Also intetested in politics because that exact party always manages to pass laws that lower possibilities of privacy etc.

Politics affect your life directly, if you are an adult you'd be wise to pay attention. It doesn't go away because you close your eyes.
-
Because that guy from germany was ranting about how his government wants to decrypt all traffic in and out of the country as well as stop using secure protocols so that the government can snoop on them, and i don't want my government to think that I'll stand anywhere near that.
-
@NOPSledRider i think he's more referring to people who ONLY talk about politics; like its their hobby or their life interest.

-AJ-2325yLike it or not politics affects our lives in a major way. You may want to not give a shit (like many people including myself), and that’s fine, as long as you can either be ignorant about it or trust those involved will always do their best. But policies set and implemented/enforced by any governing body will alway have a huge impact on how that particular body behaves and what it achieves. This can apply to the ‘body’ that is any particular family, company or government.

-AJ-2325yAlso, over the last few years, most of us in the UK have been forced to be more involved and/or interested in politics. Need I say more?

Pyjong10935y@-AJ- yeah.. guess you are right, it does affect me. At the time I ranted I had my head full of bs from people who consider their interest as being something better, yet never ever have I heard anyone talk about how the thing actually works like tax collection and further redistribution or how come politicians who usually are not lawyers get to talk about what laws are getting in. Guess it's not really politics i dislike, the guy above was right I need to get less bitter. Or just move to a mountain village or something..

-AJ-2325y@Pyjong The truth about most politicians is that they are mostly winging it. You hardly ever see a politician who's a specialist in any particular field. For example, one day someone is the Energy Minister, then they are the Home Secretary. I know they are governing and not providing the service, but IMO they should know the industry they govern very well. It's a slap in the face to anyone in that particular sector. A great example if that lady in the US who seems to think Big Tech is our largest threat today. She is really uneducated on the subject.
My advice is that when you are working on an intense project, don't watch or read the news (except for things like sport, tech etc), don't look in to politics as this will distract you, give you more grief. Don't pick up a paper, curate your news on you mobile device so that you can decide what you want to hear about and not.
Why do you people give a fuck about politics?
Please don't explain to me why and which politician you hate, picture you have won your struggle and tell me what makes you spend your time with this, what is your expectation for the effort that you put in it?
