Root826005y@Stuxnet Truth.
However, the average person is on the other extreme, so things like this are annoying at the very best. -
@FrodoSwaggins Jesus Christ at the tin foil needed for your hat lmao.
I can understand not giving out an email to a place you know is finna spam the shit out of you, and I've even given fake emails to the places before, but that's a whole new level.
But hey man, if you wanna be paranoid over nothing major, then by all means do so. Ever thought about using a wifi phone app to constantly switch your number so that it's never the same? I used to use one whenever I had a tablet (and before my first phone). -
just because you never got extorted or noticeably hacked doesn't mean no one did or does.
-
-
@jesustricks what @Stuxnet said....
And to add to it, I make fun of people that take it to the extreme. All the way to the point of being retarded.
If(for example) you already paid with your card, then they already got you.
A first name ain't gonna get you hacked at Starbucks. -
@AleCx04 @Stuxnet
well, I agree, using a different name on starbucks... it's very silly.
but posting a shitty cartoon of someone that does that... that's like making fun of a parody, maybe a 10 year old will have a laugh
there's no disclaimer in your post as still needing to take privacy seriously in general, so I think it's reasonable for me to believe that you're making a tacit statement about privacy not being so important.
I mean, make your jokes, humour isn't ilegal nor should it include disclaimers, but we're programmers so someone is bound to take it seriously.
and it wasn't that funny or smart anyways.
and talking about starbucks, these motherfuckers require me to register with full id or a facebook account to use their wifi.
maybe they don't want their hands dirty if someone uses their premises to hack? or they just want data or fb accounts from customers?
I wouldn't be shocked of the latter. -
@jesustricks naw the meme is fine. It's satirical of the overly paranoid individuals, not saying privacy isn't important at all. If you can't grasp that, then maybe you're the 10 year old? 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
It's one thing to say privacy isn't important, but there's some extremely irrationally paranoid people out there and this industry doesn't really seem to be the place for them; these people seem like they'd be better off living "off the grid" rather than inside the IT industry. -
@Stuxnet your replies are almost always triggeringly dumb, so I won't even bother reading it
-
@M1sf3t idk, the places I go give you a wifi key on the ticket, so that code only lasts like 2 hours...
they don't need your data to do that... am I missing something? -
torpkev4825y@rutee07 don't you have to get laid for that to be a problem? Which is super worrying considering your spoon response :D
-
torpkev4825yPrivacy is important.. not wanting to be spammed to death makes sense.. but some of the tinfoil hat responses in here is nuts.
Yowzer -
@jesustricks look, I get it, this might have triggered you. Its a fucking meme, if you don't find it "smart or funny" then that is cool, downvote and move on I guess? What do some of you people expect others to do? Want me to take it down and apologize to the tinfoil hat wearing people in this community that require layers upon layers of security abstractions to post something? Cuz it ain't happening bud :P it was just a meme.
-
I'm not so triggered by your post, I may not have liked it at all, but it didn't reach trigger heights.
Now, when @Stuxnet comments, yes, that does trigger me, but that's more of a personal thing.
Don't get me wrong op, I'm not a big fan of your sassy attitude in general.
But stuxnet takes it to a whole new level.
He does these childlike replies out of a bad guy character, calls you things like "chief" and finishes it off with emojis, nailing the perfect trash status of the comment.
I'm sorry man, it's not like you killed millions of people, but ugh, that gut feeling when I read your comments is like "god, i hate you". petty as fuck but real. -
@jesustricks the feeling is mutual and I'll be glad whenever I can block your annoying shitposting ass.
Have a great night asshole :) -
@M1sf3t I wouldn't show up, so I'd advise you not waste your money man.
Some people are just unlikable 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️ -
@jesustricks that is fine. I really do not care. I find myself to be on the chillest side of the spectrum in comparison to the other opinionated sad fucks that roam this community 🤷♂️ i don't see it as sassy, i see it as "why should I care about your dumbass?"<---- not aimed at you btw
-
@Stuxnet Could you define paranoia for me and compare to how @FrodoSwaggins would be paranoid in this case?
Hurr durrrrr MA prIVACY
joke/meme
