I had to let go of the two people working under me today because somebody fucked up the budget. That sucked.

For the record, it sucks a hell of a lot more for them than me (my job is safe for now) but still.

As someone who just got let go a week ago, I can confirm that it does suck.

@torpkev I’ve got a phone interview tomorrow and I’ve applied a lot. I’ve only gotten one rejection email so I’m still holding out hope. Idk.

3 years ago I was let go as redundant because the company I worked for kept paying fines for tax evasion. It sucked back then because I was let go by no fault of my own. Thinking back, that was a blessing because it was the shittiest company I’ve ever worked for. I’m doing much better now working for a great company.

Turns out it sucks even more for me because I got a call Friday telling me that the budget can't support me either

@rutee07 it's a university research thing.. just some monumental fucking inept idiot doing the budget work. She must have sent me a dozen emails asking for help with Gmail over the past year. Who wants to bet she still has her job?

Time to find a new job.. which just flat out sucks.
