Do people know of good resources (books, blogs, YouTube channels, whatever) regarding advancing to the higher levels of the tech industry?

I can find lots of resources for how to get started in your career but as I've advanced it gets harder and harder to find guidance (this is not surprising, but still lamentable). I am currently one promotion away from Senior at my company and I have no idea what to expect beyond that.

Any suggestions?

I think as a senior developer you are required to consider the context in which apps are being developed more. So, difficult to be prescriptive.

Look at existing senior devs. What do they do that you currently can't? What are they not doing well? Can you gain skills that plug that gap?

Try „Beeing Geek” by Michael Lopp.

I’m not sure if that’s what you would consider above your level, but there are some good explanations how the industry works.

One advice from the book is clear: you must change your job and have a plan to approach this change.
