I was just a junior developer, and the senior interviewer had just left for a quick break.

And, I had to interview one dude for the post of Web Designer (we were not asking for experienced devs). And, then he comes up, opens his laptop, goes to a folder and opens an html file that turns out nothing but a "Save Page as.." of one News Website. Seriously, I just said nothing, asked him a bunch of questions and off he goes. I could not stop laughing later.

What did he think he was doing? What was the html file called? Was there css/js? How old was he?

@alexbrooklyn He either just used Save Page from browser or used tools like HtTrack. The files were all there vendor, css etc. And, the page was so so so so long with lots of news.

He did not even choose a good one or changed any assets. And definitely did not type those himself.

He probably was 20 around and yes had quite some knowledge on php. We had clearly mentioned no much experience was required and even Intern was accepted.

Why would anyone do it. How could they expect us to just not realize it was a copy of local news website.
