@brukernavn32 @spl0 It's an older HP gl380 g6. 72gb of Ram (18x4gb). 8gb sticks are a lot more expensive. 2x Xeon x5550. 1 40gb Intel enterprise SSD (for EXSI 6 u2) and 7x 2.5' 10k 300gb SAS drives in raid5

Oceas9768y@BarrelOfPickles can I ask what you possibly could use that much power for in a personal server? Not trying to criticize that just sounds awesome and curious.
-
A-C-E56528yPersonal server?! Man, im sitting here, broke and you have a personal server? Damn.
Keep up the good work man! -
@Oceas Well I work in data center and deal with a lot of various backup/DR software for clients. Namely Veeam, CTERA, Zero and a few other smaller names for niche uses. So being able to run tests from my homelab to work dev environments or vise versa comes in handy. And being able to throw a ton of resources at what ever I feel like doing at the time is nice too. Apologies for the long/vague answer.

@spl0 Thanks man. Got a great deal on Craigslist and parts are dirt cheap on eBay.
-
drRoss48808yYou're using a 40GB SSD to run ESX? Why?!?! Just use an SD card or flash drive! That's such a waste.
-
@drRoss Yeah unfortunately no sdcard slot on the HP that would normally be my go to.
-
drRoss48808y@BarrelOfPickles Move it to a spinning disk and use it for small Linux VMs!!
OR put Windows Server Nano on it, 400MB base installation. -
303Tek3718yHere! Here!:
My Rig: CS24-NV7 dual Operon with 64GB of RAM. Onboard SATA RAID is crap, so added a Dell PERC5i. Total cost : around £240 without disks. Purchased the server from a "Bargain" store in UK (not sure if commercial links can be posted in dR) and the PERC5i+cables from eBay. ESXi is free! Works like a charm. If someone wants pics, let me know. -
303Tek3718y@spl0 Here it is :
http://bargainhardware.co.uk/dell-p...
Without disks, my setup is now £140.99!
Will take a few pics this week with the cover off.
BTW: Is a Gigabyte GS-R1233-RH 1U server rebranded by Dell, but is cheap! -
303Tek3718y@spl0 Is a little noisy, but bearable, except when the fans revs up, then you have an Eurofighter 2000 taking off in your face :)

It's on the way, probably will arrive today (I hope so <3). Can't wait to upgrade it more and more. -
You're crazy, however, as if you were playing real slots, you would have to use even more memory on your computer. By the way if you like to play slots. Then you should read more information about the new game on this site https://bezdepozytu.com.pl/automaty... here is a good overview of the game that will help you make the right decision or choose a game or No.
