Do you listen to music while you code? And what genre if the answer is positive?

@Treveloper Same. I prefer instrumental while coding tho, cause lyrics can distract sometimes.
Atm, Buckethead is what I listen to the most while coding

I like to listen to instrumental music, jazz, classical, rock, post-rock etc.

For me, it's important that it contains no lyrics, so I won't get distracted.

Progressive rock, psychedelic and classic rock and sometimes folk and celtic music like those fiddles and amazing instruments and most importantly blues and jazz when things go intense.

I am too on the instrumental side...

Even if when things get hard I switch it off... Being a drummer make me so susceptible to rhythms... 😅😁

@Etrunon you're a drummer?? Cool. Yeah drummers do have soft spot when it comes to rhythms. Specially if you are inspired by John Bonham. He is amazing. Rhythm and aggressive drums wow.

Instrumentals and soundtracks as I often stop paying attention to the code and start singing if there are any lyrics.
    Current favorite: Death Note OST.

Uhh... I listened to a lot of House lately, but that became to repetitive, now mostly what happens to be on Youtube at the moment. Lately a lot of Movie Soundtracks and Undertale music... a lot of Undertale music.
Other than that mostly upbeat kind of music. Specific bands and/or performers? Let me see... Disturbed, Linkin Park, Hammerfall, Sia, Avici, The 69 Eyes, Imagine Dragons, 3 Doors Down, A Perfect Circle, Poets of the Fall, Godsmack, Dragonforce, Fort Minor, T.I., Soilwork, Crush 40, Sum 41, Prodigy, Flobots... yeah mishmash of genres... and those are the ones I currently can remember listening to. 😊

@transpalette man, you know what you're talking about. I usually go with some rock music but when I'm coding it's gotta be M.O.O.N.
