If something has weight in the world, its automatic under political pressure.

    But i like this move.

@stop Are you calling me fat
  • 1
@alexbrooklyn you are fatter than my neughbour(i dont say which. It ranges from 3 kilo to 150 kilograms)

Why is noone assigned to this task..? It sounds urgent

@netikras its closed. Could not reproduce.

@Fast-Nop why should they? They care about this issue because it is significant to them for some reason. Not everyone can care about everything.
  • 1
@Fast-Nop You know, why don't you send them an email and ask them if they care about that? I know it's much easier than childisly going "haha but what what about them" as if you had a point
  • 1
@inaba My point is that the hypocritic "values" of the West are all but too well known in the rest of the world. And no, they're not "human rights", and China's aren't either of course.
  • 2
So China is putting the people first. hahahahahahaha

(I guess that is allowed to say, as it is not a political opinion, but merely pointing out the hypocrisy. And no, I don't like the US version of democracy either.)

Why this is where it is though, I have no idea.

@Fast-Nop your point also relies on weather or not they (the notepad++ devs) care about whatever things you can think about. It's like the "haha so you want to improve society yet you live in one" comic pretty much. Though I wanna bet if you asked them weather or not they cared about that thing from 2003 they would tell you "of course", and if you went "o- oh well what about Obamas drone strikes?? haha gotcha" they would tell you they cared about those as well.
  • 2
@inaba I bet they did care somewhat - but not so much that they would have turned a text editor into a political message. And that imbalance actually tells the rest of the story, which is about double measures.

Though China's reaction to this is quite clumsy; looks like they havn't understood how the Streisand effect works.

It's kind of funny to keep track of these

You're right chinese citizen, western democracy is more corrupt than the communist system, in which a top party member of your country got out of being arrested over having an invalid licence plate on their car explicitly because they are a top party member.

Say what you will about western democracy, at the very least we pretend that we're free.
  • 1
It’s cute seeing two brainwashed masses go at each other. Hopefully they take each other out for good
  • 2
    Well...
    Both systems are shit

The fact that we can have this discussion without fear of repercussions is proof enough of the flawed argument.

However, I am not sure how Notepad++ code can be improved by this.

@Plasticnova Some of us prefer the term "intelligently choosing the least of available evils," thank you very much.
  • 3
And that is why politics is not allowed on devrant
  • 0
That is not a proper bug report. They forgot the expected result of the West.

Also, who would be the owner of this issue? The west is not a valid user.
  • 0
Ah yes, because communism has worked so well. And because complete and total government control of everything makes everyone "happy"
  • 0
@Root Commusim isnt about total control... I wish people werent that biased anymore.
  • 0
@Gregozor2121 @Root once again I remind you that politics is not allowed on devRant for a good reason
  • 1
@retnikt May I kindly remind you that it was you who started the whole fucking rant?!
  • 0
@Fast-Nop with a clear notice that this should not turn in to a politics discussion, which it unfortunately has.
  • 0
    @retnikt LOL surprise, surprise!

@Fast-Nop MaY I KiNdLy ReMiNd yOu ThAt It wAs yOu wHo EnGaGeD in PoLiTiCaL DisCuSsiOn In tHe FiRsT PlAcE
  • 1
@Gregozor2121 I'm biased against anything that has a track record of destroying everything it touches.

The only reason China isn't likewise a ruined shithole with a starving population and basically no production, like every other communist country throughout all of bloody history, is because China's economy is still capitalist. (Gasp!) It's true, though. (if still government-run).

So what China is pushing for isn't really anti-capitalism, it's pro-government control. aka a surveillance state, just like China has.

@retnikt This is more about economics than politics. At least the lies on the surface are. The above is the political aspect of it.
  • 0
@retnikt The OP already WAS political, and what you're trying now is pissing on people's back and claiming it rains.
  • 1
@retnikt If you don't want political discussion, follow this simple, one-step guide:

    1) Don't post about politics.

    Easy!
  • 1
@Root @Fast-Nop @Gregozor2121 am I gonna have to report my own rant?
  • 4
@retnikt You can repent by using IE11 for the next 24 hours.
  • 0
@retnikt You broke the rules, and didn't even tag it. You probably should.

    @Root
    > more about economics than politics
    > isn't really anti-capitalism, it's [...] a surveillance state

You missed the important bit right after your quoted bit. ๐Ÿค”

say what you will about china. At least they occasionally execute a few party members.

It's 2019 America. When do we get to see some politicians being eaten alive by lions in a stadium?
