First OS?

mine, it was win98 16mbRam, did'nt remember CPU haha good old times

It was bought 1995 for $3000 and broke down two years ago (BIOS got killed somehow)
But the HDD is still fine and have great values when I did SMART test last year

Even thou the first experience was with MacOS 7, my grandfathers computer.
We used it to play Wolfenstein, Astreoids and Blobbo

Win95 or 98, I'm not sure. It broke a long time ago when a CD broke into pieces inside and then we got our XP (which is now unusable, specially since me and my brother tore it apart and didn't put it back together 😂)
Oh the nostalgia I loved that CD it had so many games 😭

Windows Vista. I'm young. I know. I might have "used" XP when I was 3-4 (think keyboard smash while my dad was working) but I don't think that counts.

Oldest OS (that's not me goofing around with a VM) would be XP on the computers at school.

@lig1 we got 7 right away cause my dad had MSDN for work... I only used vista for like 6 months until 7 came out.

Windows 3.1, 486-33Mhz, CD ROM where you had to put the CD into a removable case and then insert the whole case into the drive.

Had a Windows 3.1 "laptop" when I was a kid. Remember a game called "moon lander" or something was the coolest thing in the world :)

XP at school. The GUI was ugly af

@1nfiniteLoop I actually liked the UI. It wasn't the best thing ever but worked really well as a whole. And didn't have all the heavy unnecessary decorations like Vista and 7.

DOS, don't remember CPU. I was a kid and switched the fancy current switch from 180V to 220V or so. (you know how does the bacon smell, right?).

In kindergarten - Commodore, that was like omg! And it broke too quickly. Then Win95.

DOS, v3.0 if I am not mistaken. CPU was 8086, memory must have been 256. At the time there were also quite a few programs/games with no OS. Under floppy, boot/start program. Want to run something else? Flip switch, replace disk, flip switch back on restarting computer.

My first computer was C64 with BASIC interpreter and my first x86 PC was 286/16MHz (iirc) with DOS. After I switched to 386DX/40MHz I met my first graphical OS - Windows 3.1.
