First wikipedia asks me donation. Then tells me facts 98% Indians do not donate. And when I try to donate, it doesn't let me donate without PAN. I am a student.

    What is PAN?

@cafecortado it is an identification issued to taxation department. Most people get their PAN in India only after they start earning.

Wikipedia has to use what the Indian credit clearinghouse standards require. If it weren't required, they wouldn't ask for it.

@SortOfTested I understand but it gives me a guilt trip for not being able help.
Well I will ask my parents to donate for me.

Totally agree with you and @SortOfTested.

Also, there are other people who built the world as it is today. You're not the one responsible for such donation behaviour.

Donations in Europe went well amd exeeded expectations and the funding goal. It's now as people had the time and could use their knowledge from Wikipedia that online payments come through to where they belong.

    Keep it up ;)
