Programming has given me an insight into the inner workings of the system that defines every aspect of the modern world. I will never ever be able to look the same way at a game, website, elevator, microwave, the synced traffic lights in a city or really anything that resembles mathematical structure and was built after 1990. Seeing how my friends appreciate all these for their function I often feel like I'm missing out, but I guess they feel the same when the machines don't act as expected.

    That's how Neo must have felt when he first experienced the matrix.

    @Lensflare Maybe, except Neo didn't understand how the matrix works in the technical sense. He wouldn't see some phenomenon and understand why it works like that. This is how a colleague of the Architect must feel like walking in the matrix.
