I want to buy a laptop; so I went with the MSI GS66, but I don't know which option to choose, the 2070 Max Q or the RTX 2060. Both have about the same performance, but I don't know if the bigger RTX 2070 Max Q chip will affect battery life. Is the RTX 2070 Max Q worth the extra 300 dollars. Will it affect battery life? Will it run hotter?

    If the performance is about the same, why do you consider paying $300 extra?

    @sqlkid Fuck, I just bought the MSI one. Like 40 seconds ago.

    @gronostaj I know, I bought the RTX 2060 one.

    @sqlkid For what it has to offer it's too expensive.

    @sqlkid It's also especially great in blowing resistors, melting the glue between the "two" frame parts of a "unibody", blocking OSes that aren't signed by them, making keyboards that break when used outside a lab and so on. But Apple's true expertise shines when they can deny flaws, point at the users and make them buy new devices instead of a 5min repair like replacing a fucking magnetic sensor.

    Isn't max q supposed to mean optimised power consumption?

    @electrineer So in other words, worse performance?

    @gronostaj yes, as also stated in the op
