I work in a Healthcare company with about 800 individuals on all levels, this is so true in that environment yet want us to adopt agile practices without getting rid of the waterfall practices....

In summary I.T, marketers and maintenance

I find it funny that the communications manager is the most closed off person in that picture. Don't agree with the picture though, there's no way a company runs effectively with only programmers. If no one's selling what you built you won't be paid for long. If no one looks after your best interest you won't be happy working there for long. And if no one is there to manage the project and deal with management your project will be dead in the water.

Lol. But let me play play Devils Advocate: It's easy to dig a hole. The hard part is figuring out where to dig and how to get paid for the work, and sometimes I'm glad I can focus on digging and let someone else deal with the rest.
