Donations for FOSS have the prerequisite that it has to be useful for others, not just for oneself.

@caramelCase the only people who will support you financially will be the people who use your software. A go dev team will hardly support software on Java.

I totally feel you on this. It's frustrating how FOSS developers often pour in countless hours and don’t get the support they deserve.
