CodePipeline single branch limitation. Shame on you Amazon.

What specifically is the limitation?

You can't have a single CodeBuild job "listen" to git push events on both a master and a dev branch, for example. In Github Workflow / Actions you can listen to push events on multiple branches, tags etc. Might not seem like much of an issue, but I can't understand why they have this shortcoming. In my case it was a deal breaker.
